Psychotherapy

Dr. Johns offers her clients a warm, inviting, and safe environment in which to talk about their difficulties and work towards making changes. She works with evidence-based treatments including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. She tailors her specific approach to the needs of her clients and works collaboratively with her clients to set goals for therapy. 


Dr. Johns works with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety (excessive worry, panic, social anxiety, phobias), depression, anger, emotional dysregulation (intense and changing moods), insomnia, and ADHD. She also works with relationship and communication difficulties, struggles with self-esteem, and life transitions. She works with clients aged 16 and older.

Assessments

Dr. Johns conducts neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments in adults for a variety of concerns, including ADHD, learning disabilities, concussion, head injury, neurological conditions, and memory concerns/dementia.
